RAGNAR, third time's a charm!!!

I have been able to run the Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay 3 times.  The first time I ran, I was training for the Salt Lake City Deseret News marathon in 2008.  My dad and I ran with my Uncle and his team from Huntsman.  The second time I was able to run was in 2010 in a team made entirely from family members including my sweet hubby, only that time we ran in van 2.  Then finally, my third time, through a Utah Health initiative for educators, I was able to run on a team with ladies from work.  We had an absolute blast!!!  Phillip was the van driver, and we all were sweaty, delirious, and hyped up on adrenaline (making for a hysterical mix).  Our team name was Running FARTS for Running for the arts, with teaching at an arts integrated school.  I love those women, and I'm so glad for those memories we made during this race!!!

New York Baby!!!!!

Phillip surprised me on for our Anniversary/Christmas 2011 with a trip to New York City!  We flew out in the beginning of June 2012 and enjoyed every second of our trip!  We stayed in a teeny tiny, but New York-esque hotel room right near Times Square.  We enjoyed doing all of the touristy things!  We walked Times Square, did some shopping, went to the Lion King on Broadway, went on a ferry ride to Ellis Island/Statue of Liberty, went to the Ground Zero memorial, perused the shops on 5th avenue, walked through parts of Central Park, Rockefellar square, Trump towers, ate New York pizza and hot dogs, and got lost on the Subway!  It was a quick, but very memorable trip!  It was so wonderful to spend time with my sweetheart in a totally new and crazy city!  What a wonderful surprise it was!

Out shopping with 2 of my favorite people in the world!  School was out, so my sister Amber, niece Brinlee, and I went for a girls day at the store...  We get a little silly!

Surprise.....

Look at the surprise we found when we opened our grill to make some dinner!  Apparently the birds enjoyed our grill as well!

Poor Gus....

Gus gets the cone of shame, but we still love him!  Hope he forgives us for getting rid of his manhood....

Festival of Colors

Phillip was able to go to the Festival of Colors with Karen Turcott.  They really enjoyed their time there, and got just a little messy!  Karen came down to do a session in the Salt Lake Temple.  We were able to go do the session with her, then afterwards went to City Creek for dinner. 

Meshach and Gus

Our little family began to grow when we got Meshach in February 2011 and Gus in October 2011.  They are Viszla's and such good dogs!!  They are totally spoiled though, and I'm pretty sure that they are unaware of their existence as dogs, they believe they are humans....  We love them so much and love to spend time playing with them and taking them places!!
