Christmas, then Vegas....

We had a great Christmas this year.  Having found out that we are having triplets, our world is now changing.  That was our gift to each other this year, and the boys got one giant bone each!  (Don't mind this picture of me, pregnant and very very sick, but grateful to be that way!)  After Christmas we drove down south to spend a bit in St. George and then with my family in Vegas, as a belated anniversary celebration.  We had a great time with Cam and Lorna!!  One of the things we enjoyed with them was going to the Mob museum downtown.  That was so interesting and we really learned a lot!  We even got to try a fake tommy gun, I was no good!  Thanks to Cam and Lorna for a wonderful time and letting us hang with them!!!  Love you guys!

Changing our lives forever!

This has been a roller coaster year for Phillip and I both!  We were both pretty content with our lives, we have great careers, have two precious puppies, and many wonderful blessings.  I was enjoying spending time with nieces and nephews, but started having a motherly urge that I just couldn't deny.  Anyhow, long story short, we had little idea of what was in store for us in this process.  After some complications, the doctor decided to put me on a low dose of clomid (for anovulation).  After 5 rounds on clomid, we were about ready to go to the next step, but found out (on my birthday!) that we were expecting!  About a month later (a little before christmas!) we found out even more shocking news, that we were expecting TRIPLETS!!!!  You can imagine the reaction!  Immense joy, fear, surprise, the whole range of emotions, as was our families response!!

Disbelief!

It's a little TOO quiet.....

One day Phillip and I were talking in our room, when we noticed that we hadn't seen or heard from Meshach in a while... we went out looking for him, and found him in the living room looking like this... we had left an opened bag of Cheetos on the couch, he ate them all but couldn't get the bag off of his head, but didn't want to make noise because he knew he would be in trouble.... we were laughing too hard to even get mad!!!

Temple and Trees....

We visit the temple every year and love to see the beauty of the temple and the lights on all of the trees that are decorated with sparkling lights.  One new tradition that we started this year was visiting the festival of trees with my wonderful sister Amber, her husband Spencer, and their daughter Brinlee.  We loved spending time with them and seeing all of the creative decorated trees, as we had never been before.  Phillip and I also bought a "grown-up" tree, as we had been using a teeny tiny tree for our marriage thus far.  We were so excited to decorate our big tree and put it up in our home!

Help to announce

We sent a text to some of our friends/family, with the help of the dogs to announce that we were pregnant (before we knew about the triplets!).  A lot of people thought that we were just getting another dog.... Hahaha!

Transyberian Orchestra!!!

I love my husband SO much!!  It has been my dream to go and see the Transyberian Orchestra in concert for many years!  He surprised me for my birthday and got us floor tickets to go see them.  It was incredible!!!  I had the most incredible time with Phillip, and you could just feel the heat from the fires and the music shook your body!!  Thank you love for a wonderful night with you, and an amazing concert!!

Thanks and what's that?!

We enjoyed Thanksgiving 2012 very much.  Cameron and Lorna came up, and we all hung out and had a great time!  We played the kinect and ate great food.  We also went black Friday shopping and were successful.  We did however happen upon a very odd sight while we were in the line at Target that wrapped around the stores aisles- a nursing bra hanging in a very precarious place.......  It gave us a good laugh, until my brother had a near death experience when he choked hard core on his soda pop, and we all stood there not knowing what to do, not our best response moments!  Lots of fun memories and good laughs on Thanksgiving!

Where's Waldo?

Phillip and I LOVE Halloween!  We love to dress up, and have dressed up in things from sloppy joe/lunch lady-phillip sported a bra, wig, and giant mole! :) ghostbuster/Janine, redneck/punk rocker, and now this year, one of my personal favorites- Waldo and Wenda!!!  A lot of my students had no idea who I was, but those that did got a real kick out of it!!  I love Waldo, in fact one year, while I was on vacation my colleagues made copies of a bunch of different sizes of Waldos and hid them throughout my room, I'm STILL finding some!!  Anyways, usually for Halloween, Phillip and I hold a party and traditionally watch the movie Clue.  We have a good time, and especially love to see all of the fun kid costumes as we pass out candy to our cute neighbors and nieces and nephew.  We also went to the pumpkin patch with Phillip's sister Laci and her kiddos.  We had a great time!  Basically we are just both big kids! :)

Crazy hair day at school, just for good measure!!

Good people and good places....

Phillips uncle Dan and cousin Lindsay came to Utah to visit.  We were able to have a lot of fun, as we went to the Brigham city temple open house, went to dinner for Dan's birthday, and went to the shooting range to try out Lindsay's PINK rifle!  We had a blast with them! On the way home from the temple open house, we were excited to see a beautiful double rainbow....  It was beautiful, the pictures definitely don't do justice!
