9/10 months, holidays and adventures

We've had a great March and April!  We've had alot of fun with family and friends and been able to see some beautiful weather, well teasers of better weather!  The world is beautiful right now and everything is being renewed in nature.  I just absolutely love this time of year for the beauties and reflections on life!  We've  had so many adventures that I thought I could just best describe them in the pictures....

8 months old and more teeth!

This has been a great month, and we are getting closer to getting a green light for venturing out!  The kids are doing great and growing so big!!  They love to talk and copy anything that you say, everything is currently referred to as "da,da,da".  Jaxon's head is looking alot better.  Last month we saw a special brain/head doctor at primary children's, it was the fastest appointment ever!  He came in for two seconds, said oh he needs a helmet, then left.  The doctors at the state clinic said that they see alot of kids that are referred for helmets and that they didn't think that his one flat side would qualify for the insurance to pay for the helmet.  We decided to try and get the shape corrected ourselves.  We had him sleep with a double rice bag to position his head better and to make sure that we were strengthening his neck on both sides, from his tortecollous (sp?).  To help all of the kiddos adjust I alternated tummy naps and back naps, on Jaxon's back naps I would have him sleep with the rice bags, and his head is already looking SO much better, and all of the kids are really loving tummy sleeping, except Miles, who just rolls back onto his back.  The boys are also finally working on getting those teeth in.  Jaxon has had the tooth bud on the bottom that keeps moving up and down from the time he was 4 months, and it finally cut!!  I will say having 3 teething babes has been quite an adventure!  When you finally get one feeling better, the other one starts up, this month needless to say has led to a tired mommy and daddy! :)  We absolutely wouldn't change having our 3 angels for anything though!!!

7 months, no more sickies!

Nothing too crazy this month, we did have about 7 weeks straight of being sick which all started with croup, so that was NOT fun.  3 teeny tiny babies with croup and worried if they are breathing= 2 swings, bassinet, 3 humidifiers, and 2 tired parents!  We are feeling much better and glad that we are getting closer to spring.  We try to drive and take as many adventures as we can to get out of the house for our sanity.  Some things the kids are doing: Lilly has both bottom teeth and loves to give a cheesy grin, they love to go for walks and runs (we bundle them up nice and toasty), they love to play with Meshach and Gus and giggle any time the dogs come near, they just love to play/read/wiggle.  We took them to a state clinic that does evaluations on premature babies, and the PT there gave us some great exercise on how to help their strength in sitting up, being able to touch their feet, and other things that the babes aren't hitting on target quite yet.  They are growing and loving to eat EVERYTHING, I make my own baby food and basically just puree whatever I can get ahold of and they don't mind at all.  One of Lilly's favorites are zucchini!  They've tried: sweet potato, cereal, green beans, applesauce (our neighbor gave us homemade applesauce they LOVE it), zucchini, prunes, peaches, avocado, squash, black beans, and other things as well.  Thank heavens they are good eaters!  They are like my little hungry birds!

Lilly pulled herself over so she could snuggle Jaxon.  HOW CUTE!!!
