Where's Waldo?

Phillip and I LOVE Halloween!  We love to dress up, and have dressed up in things from sloppy joe/lunch lady-phillip sported a bra, wig, and giant mole! :) ghostbuster/Janine, redneck/punk rocker, and now this year, one of my personal favorites- Waldo and Wenda!!!  A lot of my students had no idea who I was, but those that did got a real kick out of it!!  I love Waldo, in fact one year, while I was on vacation my colleagues made copies of a bunch of different sizes of Waldos and hid them throughout my room, I'm STILL finding some!!  Anyways, usually for Halloween, Phillip and I hold a party and traditionally watch the movie Clue.  We have a good time, and especially love to see all of the fun kid costumes as we pass out candy to our cute neighbors and nieces and nephew.  We also went to the pumpkin patch with Phillip's sister Laci and her kiddos.  We had a great time!  Basically we are just both big kids! :)

Good people and good places....

Phillips uncle Dan and cousin Lindsay came to Utah to visit.  We were able to have a lot of fun, as we went to the Brigham city temple open house, went to dinner for Dan's birthday, and went to the shooting range to try out Lindsay's PINK rifle!  We had a blast with them! On the way home from the temple open house, we were excited to see a beautiful double rainbow....  It was beautiful, the pictures definitely don't do justice!

"No mom, I did not just rip open the plastic on a brand new deck of cards and scatter them across your room...."  Pretty sure that this is the most guilty face that I have ever seen. When I showed Gus one of the ripped up cards, this was his response!  Pretty priceless.... :)

Kowabunga Bay

We got a groupon that included a Kowabunga Bay pass as well as a hotel stay.  We decided with our neighbors to make a vacation out of it!  I am not a fan of water, but I even tried one of the water slides!! :)  We all had a blast!  We are so lucky to have such amazing neighbors!!

WICKED!!!!!

We were so excited to go to Wicked the broadway musical.  We went while it was here in Salt Lake City.  It was amazing!!  Thank you Rick and Gail!!

My classroom project....

I decided that I needed a change to the look of my classroom this year!  I wanted to have some fun bright colors!  Here was my project that inspired the change and kept me busy while preparing for another wonderful school year!
